Mrs. Neranjanie Champa Premawardana

I am a qualified and experienced preschool teacher (NVQ Level ) and childcare specialist and also I have been in the education field since 1992, specialized in Early Childhood Education. Further, I am also working as an Assessor (Preschool Teacher) at Tertiary and vocational Education Commission in Sri Lanka.

Year 1997 was the turning point in my life. With the assistance of my spouse, I commenced my own Montessori school “Panadura Montessori House of Children” with 7 children. This school has  grown and is  serving nearly 100 children with 5 experienced teachers, 3 trainee teachers and 3 domestic helpers. I am the Sole Proprietor/Directress of Panadura Montessori House of Children (Montessori and Day care center) located at No 189/1, Galle Road, Panadura, Sri Lanka. As the proprietor of Panadura Montessori House of Children, I have advocated ethical practices throughout, both towards the children and the employees equally.

I have been working with children, young people, parents and teachers for more than 20 decades and have served as a teacher established private international school in Colombo.

I have also done a comprehensive research on aggressive behavior of preschool children and writes on issues relating to parenting while I was in Open University of Sri Lanka.

Since 2012 I have been involved in the training of teachers NVQ level 4 preschool teacher examinations

I believe learning should be fun. Therefore, I also compose children activity books from simple to complex particularly considering preschool kids nature, skills, attitudes, and abilities to build their preschool education most innovative way. Hence I would like to mention specially I compel to comprise these activity books by observing difficulties and weaknesses of little kids who were in Panadura Montessori House of Children over the past years.

My career is my passion and commands my fullest devotion, dedication and commitment. As a preschool educator and also as a mother, I am keen to offer the children with activities that support physical, emotional, academic and social growth. We are accountable for aiding children in discovering interests, increasing talents, building confidence and learning how to work independently and correctly, within a group. I provide individual attention to each child under my supervision.
